PART 3: THE COLLAPSE OF AN EMPIRE

Marin looked down at Thalia groveling at her feet, her eyes devoid of any emotion. Kyle's systemic betrayal and the sting of his physical cruelty over the past years had turned her love into a block of absolute ice.
“Stand up, Thalia,” Marin said, her voice dripping with profound disdain. “The dress you are wearing, the gold clasp on your wrist—every single bit of it was purchased using my secondary credit card. Housekeeping!”
The elderly maid stepped out from the background, her eyes fixed on Thalia with an undisguised look of deep satisfaction. “Yes, Miss Sterling.”
“Strip her of everything on her body that constitutes my property. Including the shoes,” Marin commanded flatly.
Thalia screamed in utter horror as the security detail stepped forward, forcing her to remove the luxury jewelry and the champagne silk dress, leaving her standing humiliated in her undergarments in the middle of the grand hall. She was thrown out of the front gates into the freezing night in absolute disgrace.
Left behind, Kyle collapsed onto his knees on the marble floor, right near the scattered letters. He crawled toward his wife, desperately reaching out to grab the hem of her dark navy skirt. “Marin... I was wrong. That woman manipulated me... I love you, Marin. We've been married for three years, you can't throw me out like this...”
“Husband and wife?” Marin stepped back, effortlessly avoiding his touch. “When you raised that riding crop over my head for another woman, did you think about our marriage? When you actively plotted to commit me to a psychiatric ward to seize my inheritance, did you think about the last three years?”
The doors opened once more, and Arthur Sterling stepped into the hallway. The billionaire patriarch walked with the unshakeable weight of a king. He looked at his daughter, his eyes softening with deep sorrow as he noticed the red marks on her skin, before turning a gaze of absolute destruction onto Kyle.
“Mr. Vance,” Mr. Sterling spoke, his deep voice sounding like a final death sentence. “The police are waiting outside to arrest you for aggravated domestic battery and organized assault. But that is merely the prologue. I will personally use the entire weight of the Sterling Group to ensure that no legitimate defense attorney in this state touches your case. You will serve the absolute maximum sentence.”
Two uniformed police officers stepped into the hall, roughly hauling Kyle to his feet and slamming his hands into steel handcuffs. His expensive grey suit jacket was rumpled, his face contorting into pathetic, breathless tears of belated regret. He was dragged down the long marble hallway, his desperate cries for mercy fading to nothing as the heavy doors slammed shut.
Marin took a deep, clear breath. She looked around the lavish mansion that had once felt smaller than a jail cell, then walked over to her father, resting her head against his shoulder just as she had when she was a child.

“You did beautifully, Marin,” Mr. Sterling whispered gently, wrapping his arm around her. “Let's go home.”
“Yes, Dad. Let's go home,” Marin smiled—a genuine, radiant smile of absolute freedom. She walked out of the estate, never once looking back at the ruins of the man who had tried to break her. The Manhattan skyline was glowing in the distance, and her true reign had just begun.
