Part 5: The System Leak

The physical relocation of our primary operations from the Torres estate to an unlisted workspace took less than twelve hours.

I sat at the terminal inside my new independent studio, watching the secure data bars cycle through their verification routines.

Valeria was resting in the adjacent pavilion room, the heavy, defensive silence that had defined her existence finally lifting.

But at exactly 2:14 a.m. on our fourth night, a high-priority anomaly report flashed across my primary monitor screen.

An unauthorized administrative query had just been initialized against the old, archived accounts of Torres Logistics.

The access sequence was using a dormant master key that had been assigned to Brenda’s former corporate secretary, Hector.

"Elias," Marcus Bell’s voice came through the secure encrypted channel, his tone sharp with immediate warning parameters.

"Your mother didn't just hide the baseline commercial ledgers before the state treasury department finalized the initial asset seizure."

"Her defense team has quietly activated a secondary network of shadow creditors to drain your remaining baseline."

I opened the unredacted account summaries, my fingers moving steadily across the interface to trace the destination routing path.

The data packets weren't routing to a standard financial institution or an authorized regional management group.

They were being directed to a high-end private medical clinic in Switzerland where Brenda’s older brother was residing.

"They are trying to fund a secondary legal offensive to contest the custody agreement," Naomi Pierce added.

"They believe that because you are focused on Valeria's recovery, you won't trace the legacy utility lines."

I initialized a direct counter-intercept protocol, embedding a digital tracking watermark inside the outbound data file.

"Let the transmission proceed for exactly sixty seconds, Naomi," I ordered coldly, my jaw setting like iron.

"We are going to let them expose the identity of the offshore bankers facilitating the bypass."
