Chapter 4 - When the Benefactor Becomes the BeggarDownstairs in the grand living room, Margaret was elegantly sipping her morning tea when the head butler rushed in, his face completely drained of color.
"Madam! Representatives from the Royal Imperial Bank are at the front gates. They... they possess an official asset seizure warrant!"
Margaret slammed her teacup onto the porcelain saucer. "Preposterous! Who gave them permission to touch the property of the family? This estate is worth tens of millions, and my son is the absolute chairman!"
The lead bank representative stepped into the parlor, flanked by two towering security officers. He presented a thick document bearing the crimson seal of the Supreme High Court:

"Mrs. Margaret, this mansion is actually owned entirely by the Escalante Heritage Management Corporation. Your family was only granted residency under a zero-dollar lease agreement due to the personal financial guarantee of Mariana Escalante. As of midnight, that guarantee has been revoked. You have exactly two hours to vacate the premises."
Margaret stumbled backward, her jade bracelet striking the edge of the table and shattering into useless pieces.
