Judge Cole's gavel fell with devastating finality. She granted me sole decision-making authority for the baby. Marcus was barred from the hospital, restricted to professionally supervised visits only after completing severe psychological assessments, and stripped of his financial control. Marcus stood up, his face purple. “This is happening because her father works in this building!” Judge Cole stared him down. “Financial resources do not determine the outcome, Mr. Hale.
